Strauss For EverOpis:The Vienna Boys Choir's first recording of "The Blue Danube" waltz was made in 1933 and the choir last recorded Strauss in 1999. Nearly 20 years later, DG records the newest additions to the choir's Strauss repertoire, including Josef Strauss' "Matrosen Polka," Johann Strauss II's "Banditen-Galopp," and Josef Strauss' eponymous "For Ever - Fast Polka." The lyrics feature stories of sailors, ghosts, bandits, and hamsters - not to be taken too seriously, but to be heard and cherished for ever.
